Frida Kahlo QuizWiki Assignment: Cindy Sherman

  1. I found Glogster to be very user friendly, and there are so many possibilities to incorporate this tool into the classroom. My art students did research projects on famous female artists, where they created a pretend facebook page for the artist...Glogster would be a great way to freshen up the project. This would also be useful for posting assignments for the class.

  2. I found using Google Docs to be very easy, and a great tool for the classroom. I had no problem embedding the link to my quiz under my glogster poster. This is definitely a tool I will utilize often in my teaching.

  3. Creating a Wiki is a great tool for the classroom. I like that if I post an assignment, my students can add questions right on the page. As opposed to with e-mail, everyone else in the class would be able to see this page, and might have some of their own questions answered. I also think this is a good tool for collaborating on projects with other art teachers.

I played around with the WallWisher website today. I think building walls would be a great way for the students in my class to brainstorm and bounce around ideas before getting started on a project. I set up a page for them to discuss what they were thinking about doing for our next project, conceptual photographs inspired by Cindy Sherman. Other students in the class would be able to see their ideas and give feedback or suggestions. As the teacher, I would be able to make sure that my students are on the right track and understand the give assignment. To look at my page, click on the link in my post about WallWisher
