Biography

I am an artist at heart, and am blessed to be able to share my passion for creativity with my students every day.  I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, where I have been for the past 25 years.  I have always been artistic, and in love with the idea of articulating ideas through visual creation.  It was while attending Texas Christian University that I was encouraged to pursue my passion, and fell in love with the art of printmaking, which I received my degree in.
I love traveling, and during my time in TCU's art program, had the opportunity to spend a summer traveling to Paris to visit some of the world's most wonderful art, and studying abstract painting at the European Art Academy in Trier, Germany.
Throughout my school years, I worked as a babysitter for all ages.  I watched several families grow up over the years, and have always enjoyed working with children, especially their innocent take on art.  I have volunteered as a camp counselor, leading arts & crafts for kids of all ages and abilities.  When it was time to start looking for a job, I knew teaching art would be the perfect way job for me.  Not only could I focus my days on discussing and creating art, but hopefully I would get to instill my interest in others and pass along the beauty and history of art to future generations.
